FTA Cards

Designed for the collection, transportation, storage, and purification of nucleic acids from whole blood and buccal cells/saliva, each FTA® Card has an integral cover sheet which protects the sample and permits the card to stand on its own while drying.

FTA® Classic Card Overall dimensions:
3 x 5 inches with four one-inch diameter circles on a 3 x 3 inch matrix; each circle holds 100-125 µL

FTA® Mini Card Overall dimensions:
1.88 x 2.88 inches with two one-inch diameter circles on a 1.25 x 2.88 inch matrix; each circle holds 100-125 µL

FTA® Micro Card Overall dimensions:
1.5 x 3 inches with a single one-inch diameter circle on a 1.5 x 1.5 inch matrix; circle holds 100-125 µL

Indicating Cards
The card changes from pink to white when the card comes in contact with the sample. The dye washes out during processing and does not inhibit analysis or transformation.
