Acid Fuchsin (Hungarian Red)

Acid Fuchsin, also known as Hungarian Red, is an excellent stain for the enhancement of bloody fingerprints or footwear impressions.  Enhanced impressions can be caused to fluoresce with an ALS or laser.  Stained impressions can be lifted with a white gelatin lifter, excited at 515-560nm and photographed with a red barrier filter.  Aqueous base with fixative.
