When fingerprints of deceased persons are difficult to obtain due to water immersion, desiccation, or other postmortem causes, the difficult fingerprints can often be obtained by cleaning, softening, and building up the fingertips with chemical agents. In many cases after cleaning, the fingertips can be successfully reshaped by injecting Tissue Builder into the bulb of the fingertip. Available is a regular formula Tissue Builder for use when the tips are in good condition, a forming formula Tissue Builder for use when the finger tissues are extremely soft, and a complete kit with both types of Tissue Builder, syringes, finger cleaning solution, and syringe cleaning solution packaged in a plastic carrying case.
