Walker-Ruffer Rehydration Solution

Walker-Ruffer Rehydration Solution is used to rehydrate and soften dry or mummified tissue in order to allow postmortem fingerprinting or microscopic tissue examination. Fingertips or other tissues are simply allowed to soak in warmed Walker-Ruffer Solution until soft enough to process. This solution has been successfully used to rehydrate tissue from Egyptian mummies.
